Isla Catalinita – a very small deserted island between mainland and Saona Island on the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Lots of marine life close to the island makes it a popular scuba diving and snorkeling place too. Isla Catalinita is part of the Parque del Este natural reserve the same as Saona Island.
It’s truly a magical place to stop, look at hundreds of shells, watch many species of birds nesting in the area and admire the beauty of the nature. Not too many tourists go to this island, it’s a hidden secret. The crystal clear waters, warm temperatures and the untouched nature makes it a popular trip among our clients looking for more nature than an invasion of tourists. Of course the island also has white sandy beaches where you can lie down and relax.
